Teachers' Month Celebration

A Best Day for the Best Ones

There was a saying that, "Once you stop learning, you start dying." there is no such thing as not learning, because everyday of every minute, we learn something new, be it the birthday of your crush, a new lesson, new discoveries and many more. But, we all know that we will not be nurtured if not because to our teachers that sacrifices their time and sweat to teach us, to nurture us.

A good teacher is the person who is treated as most respected person in a student life due to his unconditional effort and support for shaping and making his academic career and future bright and successful. A good teacher plays an important role for making his student personally a good human being along with bringing his academic career into right direction so a teacher reserves the place in his student’s life above than their parents.
Teachers are the real fortune maker for a student, a good teacher always try to do his best for his student’s success and thus student can never pay the debt made by his teacher for making him a successful person in life.
In the Philippines, this years Teachers' Month Celebration has a theme, "Gurong Pilipino; Handa Sa Makabagong Pagbabago." During the month-long celebration, all public and private schools, schools district offices, schools division offices, and regional offices are enjoined to follow the synchronized programs, projects, and activities. Schools are likewise encouraged to conduct special activities, such as on-the-spot poster making, essay writing, thank you card design, and cultural performances, to enable learners to express gratitude for their teachers.

We should give our best to thank and make our teachers that they are special in every hearts of the students, not only the students but all the people in the world for their teachings and word of wisdom that theu give every single day. They deserve the best of the world because they are the best teachers not only in the Philippines but to the Universe.

A best teachee should not be treated poor because they are like queens and kings, they should be treated right, should be thanked, and should be the best in any way.

That is why we need to give them a best day. The best day for the best ones, OUR TEACHERS.

Intramurals is always fun. Students look forward to this kind of activities. There are so many sports that are included in the intramurals of 2019 in Ilocos Sur National High School. Volleyball, Basketball, Sepak Takraw, Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis, and many more.
Image result for intramuralsthis years Intramurals was coordinated by the MAPEH Club. it is a very successful event because every students attended and participated in the said activities. They also conducted a Zumba dance for the teachers and the students who are selected to dance. A fun bike where the students, teachers and people who registered get to bike early in the morning.
Intramurals allow students to develop psychomotor skills and fine-tune motor skills with coordination, movement, strength, dexterity, grace, and speed, and also find healthy outlets for energy. If one student is sports-oriented, it provide a healthy pastime to help students refrain from various vices such as drugs, smoking, drinking, and spending excessive time on electronic devices. Most importantly, teach the value of teamwork and sportsmanship.
This are the importance of having intramurals in a school. In a school where everyone has the right to play freely but not to the extent where they are not able to attend this classes. Intramurals are implemented for students who are sports-oriented.

Everybody participated and also everybody enjoyed this year's Intramurals. let us look forward to next year's Intramurals.

Vigan City, as the only heritage city in the Philippines, once again celebrates the World Heritage Cities Solidarity Cultural Festival for the whole month of September.
The festival is rooted in Vigan City being part of the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC), an organization founded on September 8, 1993 in Fez, Morocco, to unite cities included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage List. The organization aims to bolster support to preserve and promote the member cities’ respective World Heritage.
Image result for vigan solidarityVigan City was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1999 for having the “best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia”. Established in the 16th century, Vigan City boasts of intact examples of colonial architecture that reflect the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere in the Philippines, from China and from Europe, resulting in a culture and townscape that have no parallel anywhere in East and South-East Asia.

There are events of the festival from September 3 to 7 include singing competitions, photography, zarzuela Ilocana (Ilocano stage play), dallot (a part of the Ilocano oral tradition of debate through  singing), kinnantaran (a form of debate between a man and a woman through singing), cultural quiz, sabayang pagbigas (speech choir), daniw (poetry), storytelling, writing on the history of Vigan as told by senior residents, painting, and folk dancing.

There are so many ways to celebrate and honor the City of Vigan. And one of them is celebrating its solidarity towards better cause.

Happy Schools Movement; Successful School + Refined School = Happy School

Image result for happy school movement logo 2019The Department of Education (DepEd) 1 (Ilocos region) is advocating scouting and sports in education through the “Happy Schools Movement”. DepEd-1 has launched the movement alongside the regional launch of Brigada Eskwela. Dr. Edilberto Abalos, chief education support services division of DepEd-1, said the program aims to develop the children holistically.

With the birth of Child Protection Policy in 2012, known as the Policy and Guidelines on Protecting Children in School from Abuse, Violence, Exploitation, Discrimination, Bullying and Other Forms of Abuse, various symposia, seminars and other information dissemination campaigns have been initiated by different schools to let teachers, learners and everybody know their do’s and don’ts in dealing with a learner. This became an eye-opener to everyone on how fragile and delicate our learners are, thus they deserve to be loved and taken with utmost care. Activities and movements had been in the center stage to make our schools a child-friendly haven.
Happy Schools Movement aims to create an environment where students can freely express themselves and promote learning in an east yet effective way of learning. also, Happy Schools Movement  is composed of happy teachers build in a happy environment and form happy students. If a school is refined and successful then the school is happy, with happy students and teachers. Happy School Movement or the HSM is just one movement which advocates to promote that every school should be a better and enjoyable place to learn.
Image result for happy school movement logo 2019Happy School fosters a child-friendly atmosphere among all learners. The creation of an environment where learners can voice-out and fully express themselves as well as promote learning in an easy yet affective way of learning is the core of this movement.
Well they say, “it takes two to tango”, therefore Happy School Movement (HSM) does not only concern learners but also the teachers and the school administrators. Happy teachers build in a happy environment and mold happy learners.
With the adoption of the Happy School activities which is anchored on the four pillars of responsive school leadership, relevant classroom instruction, conducive and healthy learning environment and good governance, for sure the ambiance in the school and environment will undergo a quite transformation, making it a place that is enjoyable and conducive to all our school children.
This movement shows that every child or students should be treated right and be loved. Everything happens for a reason, and that is why Happy Schools Movement is launched, to be an eye opener to everyone that every students have the right to be happy and be free.

It’s more fun in school with Happy School Movement

That is why Successful School + Refined School = Happy School.

Buwan ng Wika: "Wikang Katutubo; Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino."

Pagkakaisa at Pagbubuklod-buklod

Laging mayroon at may kahalong Ingles.
